Murder Suspect to Appear in Cass County Court

A Harrisonville man will appear in a Cass County court room Monday afternoon.  Jeffrey Moreland, 53, was charged with murder and armed criminal action following the 2008 death of 30-year-old Cara Jo Roberts.  He is also facing three counts of forcible rape in separate case. Moreland’s jury trial is scheduled for mid-January.  His case review will be heard at 1:30.
