Murder Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing

One of the men charged with murder and armed criminal action waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.  Ziyad Abid, 23, allegedly paid Reginald Singletary, 27, to shoot William “Blaine” Whitworth, 25, of Warrensburg, according to court documents.  Abid is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court on Oct. 9 at 10:00 a.m.  He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
