A Knob Noster man charged in the February shooting death of his wife was in a Johnson County courtroom this week for a bond hearing.

Anthony Garcia, 23, is accused of fatally shooting Danielle Garcia, 24, at a home on SE 971 Road.  The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a woman suffering from a “self-inflicted” gun-shot wound.  Investigators said evidence collected at the scene later led to Anthony Garcia’s arrest.

Garcia is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.  He appeared before Judge Michael Wagner and his bond was reduced to $200,000, cash-only. He’ll next appear on August 1st at 9:30 a.m. for a motion hearing.
