National Weather Service Issues Numerous Advisories
A significant weather advisory is in effect for portions of Cooper, Howard, Johnson, Pettis, and Saline counties until 9:30 a.m. The storm is moving quickly across the state. The National Weather Service has also issued a tornado watch for Bates, Cass, Henry, Johnson, and Pettis counties. There’s a mix of rain and snow in the forecast Tuesday night with lows in the low 30s. A winter weather advisory will go into effect at 9:00 p.m. for portions of the listening area. The storm system is expected to trek northwest from Kansas City to Kirksville. That advisory is expected to expire at noon on Wednesday.
