Nearly 9-tons of Food Received

Missouri Farmer’s Care has released the results of their annual Missouri State Fair food drive and Canstruction project. Canstruction is a unique way to raise awareness of hunger in a positive and fun way. Missouri Farmers Care Executive Director Dan Kleinsorge is proud to say they received 18,783 pounds of food and $658 in cash donations to help the cause.

You can donate anytime by contacting your local food pantry.

The food pantry in Sedalia will get 6,881 pounds of food that were part of the 13-foot, 10-inch tall 4-H emblem Canstruction project and the cans collected during the State Fair.

Partners include the Missouri State Fair, Midwest Ford Dealers, Ford Dealer’s, Bing’s Grocery Stores of Sedalia, Canstruction, Tarbue, Hansen & Hinshaw, Inc., Peckham
