The Johnson County Extension Office will have new hours effective Tuesday. The organization will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. According to a statement released by the agency, these hours are thought to be more consistent while continuing to meet the needs of those they serve.
Effective November 13, 2012 the Johnson County Extension Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
At a recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the Johnson County Extension Council, the officers voted to adopt the new hours. These hours are consistent with the hours of operation of offices in the courthouse, and will better meet the needs of employees while continuing to serve the public.
Previously the office had operated with extended hours Monday through Thursday, with a shortened day on Friday. After reviewing traffic patterns, the committee determined that the number of contacts during extended hours did not justify keeping the office opened at those time. It is anticipated that consistent hours Monday through Friday will be less confusing for clientele.
