HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. — The Higginsville Board of Aldermen will meet Monday for a meeting.

The gathering, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, will begin with discussion of accounts payable and reports from city departments.

Committee reports will then be heard, including from the utilities committee, which will present a bill regarding an agreement with Compass Health. Among other committees, emergency services committee members will also outline a resolution to adopt the Lafayette County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Management Plan.

In addition, Police Chief Smith will give an update on the bidding process for plumbing and construction work on the new Higginsville Police/Dispatch facility. A new student resource officer with the Lafayette County C-1 School District, Steve Smithson, will be introduced to the board.

The Higginsville Board of Aldermen will meet at the Higginsville City Hall Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. Monday.

Correction: July 2, 2018, 5:00 p.m.- An earlier version of the story associated with this article misstated who would be named as the new school resource officer, and also that an officer would be introduced to the board.
