“No Hunger Summer will start on June 24th and run through August 16th,” Smullin said. “The time frame is 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. We encourage people to come out and get a free meal and hang out with us. We will have people from our local TV station as well as the Mustangs and Missouri Western so it will definitely be a fun time.”

The program is designed for any family with children who were enrolled in their school’s free and reduced lunch program.

“This is Second Harvest Community Food Bank’s summer feeding program,” Smullin stated. “We will be having four café sites here in St. Joseph and one in Trenton so that’s a new one for us.”
