“It’s me and one other male, Mason Kiehl, and he is from Meadville,” said Gibson. “We will be going and visiting county Farm Bureaus and going to their meetings and also attending annual Missouri Farm Bureau functions and the State Fair. This coming spring we will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. to learn more about legislation and to meet some of our legislators to learn more about issues facing the agricultural industry.”

Gibson will also receive an academic scholarship from the Missouri Farm Bureau. She represented the Carroll County Farm Bureau. Samantha is currently attending the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she is very active in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.

“After graduation, I plan to work within the agriculture industry in promotion and edcuation, and being an advocate for agriculture to provide a positive image of agriculture to the public.”

Both Gibson and Kiehl were chosen from a pool of 18 contestants chosen by county Farm Bureaus. They were named the winners of the Ambassadorship on December 8 at the Missouri Farm Bureau annual meeting.
