Oak Grove Alderman Meet Monday

The Oak Grove Board of Alderman will gather on Monday for a regular monthly meeting. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk about the meeting with Oak Grove City Administrator Stephen Craig.

Discussions will get underway at 7:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Civic Center. The group has a full agenda that includes the continuance of a public hearing regarding the construction of two new buildings located at 601 SW 1st Street in Oak Grove.

“A new property owner has purchased the facility and is looking to add on to it, “said City Administrator Stephen Craig . “We’ll have a public hearing on that as well as a discussion item on the site plan and improvements he is looking to make on that facility.”

The group will also hear a request from the family of Joseph Charles Scott to hold a 5K memorial run/walk November 23, 2013. Cristin Golden, Joseph’s mother will present the request. Proceeds from this event would be used for two scholarships for the 2014 Oak Grove High School Graduating Class.

Other items on the agenda include the speed limit along Southwest 12th Street, amendments to the Solar Energy Systems and Micro-Wind Turbine regulation ordinance, and an ordinance amending Section 117.150 of the City Code regarding Employee Classifications.
