Oak Grove Driver hurt in I-70 accident Thursday evening

JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. — A crash at the 23.5 mile marker on Interstate 70 sent an Oak Grove man to an area hospital to be treated.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-70 in Jackson County at about 7:10 p.m. Thursday.

A truck driven by Lacy M. Fristoe, 26, was traveling on I-70 when a tire on his vehicle blew out. This caused him to lose control of his automobile.

Fristoe then went off the left side of the road and impacted the median cables.

Fristoe was moderately injured in the wreck. He was transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center to receive care.
