MARSHALL, Mo. — A public hearing will be held in conjunction with the Marshall City Council meeting Monday evening, in addition to a swearing-in ceremony for new city officials.
The agenda says that the hearing will be held to hear comments from citizens regarding a request by a citizen to amend a city zoning ordinance to allow boarding kennels for animals by special use permit.
Business from the audience will then be heard by councilors before public relations and public safety; municipal services and personnel; property finance, budget and audit; and community development and code committee reports are heard.
The city administrator and mayor will then give reports before a number of ordinances are considered.
One would authorize an agreement between the city of Marshall and Buxton Company and another would approve a joint proposal with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to increase the grant amount for the terminal building.
The oath of office will be administered to newly-elected city councilors Ron Ott, Ward I; Kirk Arends, Ward II; Dan Brandt, Ward III; and Rudy Reyes, Ward IV.
The meeting will then adjourn to a possible closed session. The council meeting will get underway at 6:00 p.m. Monday at Marshall City Hall.
