Odessa Discusses Securing Farmer’s Markets

Securing the rights for local growers to sell their products was discussed at Monday night’s meeting of the Odessa Board of Aldermen.

Murry says Alderman David Sparks has been looking into the subject and it will be discussed further at future meetings. According to Sparks there may be a potential threat staring in other areas in America and he wants to secure the rights of local farmers.

The board also approved for the annual fishing derby to be held on Saturday at the community’s reservoir.
