Officers Seize Drugs from Macon Home

A raid on a home in the 700 block of West Goggin Street in Macon landed two people in jail on Thursday.  According to a police report, officers were called to the residence after a concerned citizen reported a strong chemical odor coming from the home.  Police said several occupants were present including two adults and two children.  Methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were seized during a subsequent search of the home.  A man and a woman in their late 20s were taken into custody on charges of possession of controlled substances (meth and marijuana) with the intent to distribute, unlawful use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child.  Their names have not been released.  Both suspects were taken to the county jail to await the filing of formal charges.
