All residents of the city of Lexington are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting Tuesday night to discuss the proposed hospital project. Click to the KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to mayor Jerry Brown:
The matter will go before voters in November as a $4 million bond issue. Brown said this meeting is part of an effort to answer questions from residents prior to the election. “We are going to talk about the value of this project and want everyone to come out and be a part of this conversation,” said Brown,” We will have a group of folks that are very interested in this city and the hospital. I believe we will be able to answer questions that come before this group. If we don’t have an answer, we will certainly find it.”
According to Brown, there will be a brief introduction of officials and then the floor will be opened to citizens. A questionnaire will also be distributed and any concerns raised will also be brought before this panel.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the middle school.
