Two companies have announced plans to co-open a new facility in Chillicothe. Officials said Wednesday morning that IBC North America and Clean Tide Container will be investing more than $5.1 million and create 87 new jobs.
The companies said the 550,000 square-foot facility is needed to keep up with increased demand. IBC North America, a Michigan-based company, manufactures industrial containers. Clean Tide Container was founded in 2004. The company, which is headquartered in Alabama, reconditions, collects, and recycles bulk containers.
Both companies could be eligible for an economic incentive package from the state of Missouri if they meet strict criteria.
