One Year on The Job and More Work to be Done

Dave Griffith Executive Director of the Heart of Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross has held his position for one year as of today (Thu.) and says that he is proud to have overseen the growth in the number of shelters for citizens and coordination of volunteers to be ready for emergencies.

Griffith also added that after Hurricane Katrina the American Red Cross was in a dire state when it came to funds; however the public has responded admirably over the past few years and especially recently with the organization’s efforts on the east coast following Super Storm Sandy as well as donations for local disasters.
