Operator faces charges after he and teen injured in Livingston County ATV crash

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. – Two Chillicothe residents were injured and the driver faces charges after an ATV crash in Livingston County Tuesday afternoon.

The highway patrol crash report says Matthew Curtis, 36, was westbound on East 10th Street at Missouri Avenue, around 3:45 yesterday afternoon. The report says Curtis tried to turn onto Missouri Avenue while traveling too fast. The ATV overturned, ejecting Curtis and his passenger, Ehrich Weiss-Vanfossen, 14. Both were transported to Hedrick Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The arrest report accuses Curtis of felony driving while intoxicated, operating an ATV on a highway, unlawfully carrying a passenger and driving while suspended.
