Parent Perception of School Week Improves

The Lexington School District has received the results of a parent survey on the four-day school week.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Superintendent Brad MacLaughlin:

Compared to last year, every positive response grew and every negative response receded.  MacLaughlin said these only measure parent satisfaction with the new schedule.

They will find out student achievement results in July.  They anticipate an improvement in student achievement, but MacLaughlin attributes that change to instruction, professional development, and teaching improvements in the district.
