Parts of Lafayette, Johnson and Saline Counties under boil advisory

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A boil order has been put in place for citizens living in the Consolidated Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Lafayette, Johnson and Saline Counties.

According to a release from the Water Supply District, customers who experienced little or no water pressure On Sunday or Monday should heed the boil warning until further notice.

Residents should boil any water used for drinking, consumption or food preparation at a rolling boil for five minutes to avoid sickness from contamination.

An automated phone message will be sent to all customers affected by the order when the advisory is lifted.
