Patrol says alcohol a factor in Pettis County crash

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Hamilton driver is facing charges after a one vehicle crash in Pettis County Friday night.

According to the online crash report, the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated the crash on Front Street, west of La Monte, around 9:20 last night. A Chevy Impala driven by Tyler Alden, 28, failed to turn before the road ended and struck a guardrail. The vehicle went airborne, landed in a grassy area and came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.

Alden was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries before being cited for allegedly driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain right half of roadway.
