The Pattonsburg Multi-Purpose Center will hold a Fish Fry and Auction Saturday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade speak with Administrator Kay Sweat:
They hope to raise $1,000, which will be used to keep the facility open.
“With the tough economic times, we’re just needing some little extra help to get through this year,” said Sweat, “With the local donations not being very big, which we can totally understand, we’re just hoping to try to get through until we get our next disbursement from the senior county tax money.”
The dinner and auction will run Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the multi-purpose center. Fresh battered catfish filets, homemade fries, coleslaw, baked beans, dessert, and a drink are on the menu. The cost for adults is $8.25 per meal and it is $5.25 for children. A la carte items will also be available.
