Peculiar Resident Injured in Crash

An accident that occurred at the intersection of highway 65 and College in Marshall Friday evening injured a Peculiar, Mo. resident.

According to the report a van driven southbound on 65 by Leslie Vasquez, 18, of Marshall, turned left onto College and into the path of a motorcycle ridden by Charles Oberto, 48, of Peculiar. Oberto was unable to stop in time and struck the rear passenger side of the van ejecting him from the bike. Oberto was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.

The extent of his injuries was not given. Vasquez was uninjured.
