Officers with the Saline county Sheriff’s Office were called to the 4200 block of West Main Street in Sedalia Sunday evening just after 5 o’clock on a report of a person with gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 15-year-old male with what appeared to be two small caliber wounds; the first located on one of his arms and the other on his abdomen. The juvenile was transported to Columbia Hospital by Air Evac for treatment. The teen’s current condition is unknown but the wounds appear to be the result of the boy being shot by a pellet gun. Law Enforcement from Pettis County is in Columbia Monday afternoon to gather more information for the on-going investigation.
