Chapman said it’s a special event that always draws a large crowd for an evening of fun.  “It’s a women’s-only night,” said Chapman,” It begins with a silent auction and dinner and then moves into what we call the Piccadilly auction which is a quarter auction.  Our tickets last year sold out in under six hours.”

According to Chapman, the event will see some changes this year due its success.  “It will be held at Papa Charlie’s on 190 this year,” said Chapman,” This is a move for us to accommodate more women,” said Chpman,” It will also allow us to offer more during that evening, so we are excited about the change.”

Doors at the Chamber office will open at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday for ticket sales.  Chapman reminded everyone they must purchase the tickets in person; no sales will be conducted over the phone.  Tickets are $30 each or $240 for a table of eight.

Press Release:

The Chillicothe Area Chamber and Main Street Chillicothe are already planning the 2013 Piccadilly!  Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 8th at 8:30 am at the Chillicothe Commerce Center office at 514 Washington Street.

“This is the fourth year for this ladies only glal auction and dinner that has become the hottest ticket in town,” according to Crystal Narr, Executive Director of Main Street in Chillicothe.  “Last year, tickets to Piccadilly sold out in less than six hours, and we have already heard a lot of talk and excitement about this year’s event.”  Woody’s Automotive Group will be the Diamond Sponsor for this year’s event.

Lindy Chapmen, Executive Director of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce added,” Information about event sponsorship opportunities will be made available this week.  This is a great chance for businesses to showcase their products and services to nearly 340 women at one time.  We appreciate the overwhelming support the business community has given to this event in the past and look forward to working with them again this year.”

The Piccadilly Gala and Auction includes a plated meal, a silent auction and the live Piccadilly Auction, which is played by bidding with quarters on items donated by local and regional businesses.

Funds raised at the Piccadilly will be used to fund the events and programs that Main Street and the Chamber sponsor throughout the year.  Main Street Chillicothe encourages downtown revitalization through economic development and hosts downtown events such as the mural program, BooFest, Christmas on the Square and Strum and Stroll.  The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce promotes the business community and sponsors family and community events such as the Chautauqua in the Park and the Holiday Parade.

“We hop you will gather your girlfriends and join us for Piccadilly Paradise: Escape to the Islands this year at ‘Charlie’s Cabana’ (Otherwise known as Good Time Charlies,” added Narr.  Tickets are $30 each or $240 for a table of eight women.  The tickets must be purchased in person at the Commerce Center office with cash, check or credit card.  No early or phone sales will be taken.  Please call 660-646-4050 or 660-646-4071 with any questions.
