Plea Expected in Theft Case

A Lawson resident is scheduled to appear in a Clay County courtroom Monday morning for a plea hearing.

Online court records indicate Kent Hubbard, 41, is accused of embezzling more than $100,000. The alleged theft took place while Hubbard was one of two people at the Clay Lodge number 207 that could write checks for the Excelsior Springs establishment.

Kent Hubbard, 41, is facing an alleged felony theft charge.

His hearing will get underway at 10:30 a.m.
