Pleasant Hill PD arrest Kansas City man on allegations of rape

CASS COUNTY, Mo.-  A Kansas City, Mo., man has a warrant out for his arrest in Cass County and was formally charged on allegations of rape and sodomy.

Quincy Blount II, 20, was formally charged in Cass County Circuit Court on one count of felony rape or attempted rape in the first degree and one count of felony sodomy or attempted sodomy in the first degree.

According to the probable cause statement, on Saturday, June 9, officers with the Pleasant Hill Police Department responded to a residence in regards to an alleged sexual assault. The victim indicated that Blount II allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse during an encounter without consent.

On June 14, Blount II was taken in for questioning and reportedly lied multiple times during the interview and continued to change his statements initially. Text messages were recovered in which Blount II allegedly told the victim he wanted to have sexual relations. Blount II then ultimately confessed to the allegations during further questioning.

Blount II is currently in custody at the Pleasant Hill Police Department on a $100,000 cash-only bond with special conditions. Future court proceedings have not yet been set.
