CHILLICOTHE, MO – Chillicothe Police indicate citizens should look forward to several new community outreach programs. According to the department, a program that partners with prior drug offenders is once again under consideration by officers.

The youth safety talks are meant to stave off future wrongful actions by the Chillicothe’s young people.

A second program in the works, Coffee with a Cop, allows officer and citizen interaction outside of a crisis situation. Other potential programs under consideration include a Citizen Police Academy, and a church security program.

Police say, each of these ideas is in the planning stage, so feedback from residents is appreciated.
