Police Search for Elderly Man – FOUND

The Blue Springs Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing elderly man.  Police responded to the home of Gerald Smith, 68, Saturday afternoon to conduct a health and welfare check.  Officers reported finding the front door to the residence open, but Smith was nowhere to be found.

He is described as a white male, 6’1″, 180 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.   Police do not have a clothing description.  Smith is said to suffer from Dementia.  He may be driving a white 2005 Ford Roush Mustang with a black stripe.  The license plate number is not known.  Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts should immediately contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Blue Springs Police Department 816-228-0150.
