Police Seeking Suspect in Cameron Robbery

The Casey’s General Store located on West Grand Avenue in Cameron was robbed shortly before 5 a.m. this  morning.  According to the Police Department, the suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’10” to 6″0 tall.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled tightly around his face and either a black or dark green Carhart-type work coat and black pants.No injuries were reported in the incident and the suspect is thought to have left the area on foot. On Feburary 6, 2013 at approximately 4:33 AM, the Cameron Police Department was dispatched to the North Casey’s General Store, located at 405 West Grand Avenue, Cameron, MO, in reference to an alarm call.  Upon arrival, officers were informed a male dressed in black had just robbed the store.

The suspect is described as a white male approximatey 5’10” to 6’0″ tall.  The male was wearing a black in color hooded sweatshirt which was pulled tight around his face only showing part of his eyes and nose.  The male was observed wearing either a black or dark green Carhartt type work coat with a hood, black pants and either brown or black boots.  The suspect was observed leaving on foot.

Only employees were present at the time of the incident and remained safe.  If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, please contact the Cameron Police Department at (816)632-6521.  Interested persons can also contact the TIPS Hotline at (816)632-TIPS(8477) and can remain anonymous if desired.  An award of up to $1,000 will be rewarded for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
