Politte to Face Jury in Carroll Co. – Cancelled

Update (8:50 a.m.) – The two-day jury trial for a Carrollton man has been cancelled.  Charles Politte, 25, was scheduled to return to a Carroll County courtroom at 9:00 a.m., but just moments ago, online court records were updated indicating that the trial was postponed.  Politte is facing one count of forcible rape.  He is also facing charges of forcible rape, assault, armed criminal action, and forcible sodomy in a separate case. A hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 15 at 9:00 a.m.

A Carrollton man is once again scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.  Charles Politte, 25, is facing a charge of forcible rape.  The two-day jury trial will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Politte is also facing charges of forcible rape, assault, armed criminal action, and forcible sodomy in a separate case. He was scheduled to appear in a Ray County courtroom Tuesday on those charges.  The proceedings have been cancelled due to the trial in Carroll County.
