Positive Drug Test Brings Jail Time

A warrant was issued for a Sweet Springs resident this week.  Michelle Cheatham, 34, is accused of violating her probation.  She pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in May of last year.  Cheatham completed 120 days of shock incarceration and was sentenced to five years probation.

After a urine analysis came back with positive results this week, she was ordered to shock incarceration through March 20th.  A probation violation hearing has been scheduled for the 25th.  Cheatham’s bond is set at $10,000.
