“Like any campaign we would like to accomplish a little more than we have in the past,” Ware stated.  “Last year we collected about 3,400 pounds of food and we are relying on the public to help us beat that total on Saturday.”

Residents can contribute to the food drive by leaving a sack of non-perishable items next to their mailbox on Saturday.  Donations can also be dropped off at the post office, which is located at 401 South Washington Street.  Glass products will not be accepted.

This is the 19th year Chillicothe letter carriers have participated in the national event.
