Postal Service to Cut Saturday Mail Delivery
The United States Postal Service is poised to make announcement Wednesday morning regarding Saturday services. The cash-strapped organization is expected to cut first-class mail delivery beginning in August. The changes are said to be part of the postal service’s effort to cut costs. The move is expected to save $2 billion annually. Package delivery, however, will remain unchanged. Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe will speak at press conference scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
