Preliminary Hearing Tuesday for HC Student

Update: The hearing for 17-year-old Jeff Ellis was cancelled. A court official said the case would not be going on as planned today and no reason was given as to why the case was moved. They have also not set a future date.

A Hardin teen has a date with a Ray County judge Tuesday morning.  Jeffrey Ellis, 17, is one of two former Hardin Central students who allegedly sexually assaulted a classmate at the school last year.  Ellis is facing a felony count of forcible sodomy.  He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 10:00 a.m.
