Prescription Overdose Cause of Pipeliner’s Death

The Randolph County Coroner is reporting his findings in the death of an out-of-state pipeline worker.

According to the report, Gary Queen, 49, of Robbinsville, North Carolina, was found dead in a Moberly Hotel room on Outer Road 63 on September 15th. The autopsy shows the death is the result of a drug overdose involving prescription medications.

Coroner Gerald Luntsford says it is unknown if the overdose was accidental and the investigation is on-going.
