LEXINGTON, MO – The next council meeting in Lexington will feature presentations from the police department and County Sheriff.

It is set to take place October 10 at 7 p.m.. Sure to be discussed, is the potential financial implications of replacing the city police with County officials. The idea proposed at a previous meeting faced initial backlash from citizens. There could be reduced financial strain on the city’s coffers, but also could increase pressure on Lafayette County budgets.
