Holland said the weather is helping to move things along.  “Right now, we’re in the demolition stage,” said Holland,” We’re taking down the old slide and children’s pool, as well as gutting the bath house and expanding the parking lot.”

The city hopes to open the new facility on Memorial Day weekend.  “We hope to have the demolition done by the end of the month,” said Holland,” We will start closing the bath house in December so we can do a lot of that work during the months of December and January.  Then, as it starts to warm up in February and March, we will start pouring concrete.

The total budget for the project is $4.2 million.
