Project Saturation
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office has implemented a “Project Saturation” operation. Patrol cars are placed in specific per-determined areas of the county in order to be pro-active, make contact with citizens and develop information on criminal activity. The first saturation was held in the Nelson and Napton area and resulted in one arrest for driving while revoked. A later saturation in the Gilliam area resulted in three arrests. The department plans to continue the project in different parts of the county at random times, to prevent establishing a pattern.
