Prom Dresses Needed

Now that prom season is over the agency is asking people to donate their slightly worn dresses.  “We have done this program in the past and it was very successful,” explained Pottorff.  “There are a number of students in our area that can’t afford to spend a lot of money on a fancy prom dress.”

The gowns donated will go to needy students in Harrison, Mercer, Putnam, Daviees, Grundy, Sullivan, Linn, Livingston, and Caldwell Counties.  “The application process will begin in December,” Pottorff said.  “We will set up a meeting with low-income students and they can pick out a dress. ” Participants can drop off their dresses at the Green Hills Community Action Agency’s office, located at 1506 Oklahoma Avenue in Trenton.
