Pursuit Ends in Crash

A pursuit in Randolph County early Saturday morning ended in a crash.  The accident occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of Business and Highway 63  in Moberly.  David Jenkins, 23, of Bevier, was allegedly attempting to avoid capture when he struck a law enforcement official’s vehicle that was stopped on the shoulder of the roadway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  Officer Matthew Wiesner, of Moberly, sustained minor injuries.  Jenkins and his passenger, Kelly Thompson, 18, of Sturgeon, received minor to moderate injuries.  All three were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center.  Charges related to the pursuit and crash are pending.
