Randolph County Accident Ends in Charges

An accident Saturday morning in Randolph County injured a Cairo man and the other driver ended up with charges. Reports from the Highway Patrol indicates Mohammed Alquhtani, 22,  Kansas City was driving south on Highway 63 north of Moberly when he rear ended David Messer, 73. Messer was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. Alqahtani was charged with felony assault in the 2nd degree for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated resulting in injury. Alqahtani was taken to the Randolph County Jail where he was able to place bond.
