On Friday morning Randy Garrison was in Ray County Circuit Court for an arraignment hearing concerning the death of his two sons. Garrison is charged with two felony charges of abandonment of a child in the first degree.

Garrison pleaded not guilty in the hearing. At this time Garrison does not have an attorney. Garrison was informed of the charges read to him by Judge James Thompson. After acknowledging the understanding of the two charges he entered the not guilty plea.

Garrison tried to request certain conditions of his bond but was denied until a later date. Judge Thompson reiterated due to the circumstances of the charges that this “is something that will not carry a probation type of penalties”.

A court date of April 1st at 8:30 a.m. has been set to see if Garrison will have been able to post bond and procure his own attorney or have a court-appointed attorney.

Garrison was transported after the case back to Ray County Jail in handcuffs and his face obscured by his shirt. Garrison was weeping as he was placed back into the Ray County Sheriffs vehicle.
