Bailey said it gives enthusiasts a chance to inspect and even ride in planes they’ve previously only seen in photos.  “This is things that people have been able to look in the magazines of aviation and see, and never really got a chance to see the aircraft with a hands-on type thing,” said Bailey, “Now they get a chance to look inside the airplane, maybe even take a ride in one.”

The event is underway through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Youth ages eight through seventeen will have the chance to take a free ride in airplanes Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon as part of the Young Eagles Program.  A 40s-style Hangar Dance will be held in Hangar Two Saturday at 8:00 p.m.  More information can be found by visiting www.sportaviationclassic.com.
