RAY COUNTY, MO – A Ray County Deputy reportedly assisted a motorist yesterday suffering from medical issues.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, a driver had been observed moving into oncoming lanes of 210 Highway, and coming to rest. Traffic narrowly avoided collisions as a nearby deputy, who at first believed the driver to be drunk, called for assistance. The incapacitated driver had been suffering from diabetic issues. The unnamed deputy helped to steer the vehicle into the correct side of the roadway. An ambulance was later called to transport the driver to medical care.
