RICHMOND, Mo.- A Richmond man, charged with the death of his father, appeared in court Tuesday for a continued hearing in a criminal case that stems from a drunk-driving accident in June of last year.

Ryan Pliler, 32, plead not guilty in November of 2016 to one count each of felony involuntary manslaughter, felony 2nd degree assault, misdemeanor driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without a seat belt.

Pliler appeared with counsel Tuesday and waived his right to a preliminary hearing which will send the case to the circuit court. Initial arraignment before Judge Miller in Ray County Circuit Court is scheduled for March 1, 2017, at 9:00 a.m.
