Ray County Fair Is Full of Family Fun

The Ray County fair will start bright and early Saturday with youth contests that will run all day. Ray County 4-H Youth Specialist Nancy Coleman says all events will take place at Eagleton Civic Center or the Fairgrounds in Richmond.

There will an antique tractor pull take place Sunday at 1 p.m. Monday kicks off a full week of competitions.

The Ray County Fair Board Members are cooking a country breakfast Tuesday morning at 6:30 at the Eagleton Civic Center. The top 25 hams will be auctioned following breakfast at around 7:15. The morning will end with a swine show that begins at 9 a.m.

More animal shows are taking place during the day on Thursday. The fair will continue through the weekend with a Horse RaceO on Friday and Demolition Derby on Saturday.

The fair will conclude with the 4H and FFA Horse show scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Rayvill arena. For a complete schedule of Fair events click here.
