A sentencing hearing was held yesterday  for a Ray County woman convicted of her crime during a jury trial in early June.  Reports from the prosecutor’s office indicate Cassi Licata, 31, was found guilty after twenty minutes of deliberation for the crime of Felony Interference with Custody of a Child by Removal from State or Concealment.

In late 2012 she reportedly ran to Oklahoma with her 4-year-old son after sole custody of the child was granted to his father.

During yesterday’s proceedings, Licata was sentenced to 9 months in the Ray County.  A motion for a new trail was denied by the court.
