Recent Wet Weather Short-Term Trend

The weather is fluctuating quite a bit this week including rapid snow melt, jumps and declines in temperatures and also some flooding.

Ryan Cutter, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service says that the ground is getting quite wet and that always lends to flooding in the low lying areas.

Some still wonder though if there is going to be a flash flooding problem in the area soon. Meteorologist Ryan Cutter with the National Weather Service says no and talks about the differences between flood warnings and flash flooding conditions.

Cutter says the next chance of precipitation in the state will be in extreme Northern Missouri with a slight chance of snow Monday and Tuesday so expect the saturated ground to dry some over the next few days.
