Chapman explained the steps of placing an entry into the parade.  “They just need to fill out a form which will include basic contact information,” said Chapman,” They will also need to complete a description so that the announcers know what to say when they go by.  We will need details about their entry such as if it’s a car or a long float.  This helps us when trying to line everyone up.”

According to Chapman, the theme for this year’s parade focuses on the season, as well as the city.  “We have a great committee that came together and started throwing ideas out as we do every year,” said Chapman,’ We started talking about all the great things going on in town and favorite Christmas movies and that’s how we came to “Miracle on Washington Street”.  Of course, it’s a nod to the movie, but it also refers to all the great things going on in the community right now.”

Those interested in participating are asked to contact the Chamber at 660-646-4050 or www.chillicothemo.com.
